Outside of his work as an attorney, Dan Melnick also engages in a number of athletic activities. Dan Melnick possesses a lifelong love of sailing, having built ships and sailed them over extended distances. He also plays ice hockey and SCUBA dives.
Dan Melnick’s love of sailing extends to his younger years. Before entering law school, Mr. Melnick assisted a friend in building a 60-foot cement sailboat, which the pair navigated to Hawaii over the summer. The 2,500-mile trip took 17 days to complete. Later in his career, Dan Melnick took his sailboat on a 4,000-mile trip to Central America. He enjoys shorter excursions more regularly, and he holds a United States Coast Guard Master, 100 Ton License. Mr. Melnick is also licensed as a scuba instructor.
Professionally, Dan Melnick’s practice focuses exclusively on criminal law. As an attorney, Mr. Melnick has assisted clients with driving under the influence (DUI) charges and many other types of criminal law issues. Mr. Melnick enjoys the challenge of criminal law and the satisfaction of helping individuals who often have little or no experience with the legal system to mount effective defenses.
