Individuals like Dan Scavone are a breed apart. Daniel, known for his intelligence and selfless attitude, attended Rutgers College. He is an honors graduate, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and English. In 2002, he obtained an MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services from Rutgers Business School at the State University of New Jersey, Rutgers. He also completed a law degree in 1984.Before he entered the financial services business in 1993,Dan practiced law in New Jersey. After a number of years, he was hired by Merrill Lynch as Branch Manager and Director at their Corporate Campus in Princeton, NJ. At this post, Daniel effectively demonstrated his innate talent at wealth and investment management, which helped him rise to the Senior Vice President post and become a member of the prestigious Chairman Club at Merrill. He left Merrill Lynch in 2004 and was employed by JP Morgan Private Client Services, where he was designated the Managing Director for New York Metro. At JP Morgan, Dan Scavone was also Market Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region and the New York Metro Market. His tenure involved growing the advisor staff fourfold over the first four years of his employment in the newly-created position. He also led the asset and revenue growth of the division’s national markets. Mr. Scavone came onboard at BNY Mellon Wealth Management in 2013 as Regional Managing Director, a position that made him responsible for developing all aspects of the wealth management business in New Jersey. He was also tasked to double the advisor group of the organization.
