Under Dan Monfreid's operation, R.J. Finlay & Co. has accumulated an expansive company portfolio; businesses under the brand include American Housing Initiatives, LLC; Tax Credit Asset Management; Vermont Natural Colored Stone; RJF-SiteVentures, LLC; and Millennium Bankshares Corporation. Prior to co-founding R.J. Finlay & Co., Dan Monfried held executive positions with a number of financial institutions, including Chemical Bank, where he spent three years as a Mergers and Acquisitions Advisor to the firm's Financial Institutions Group. Dan Monfried remained with Chemical Bank following its purchase of Chase Manhattan Bank (a subsidiary of JPMorgan Chase), eventually relocating to San Francisco to assist with the integration of capital management group Hambrecht & Quist Capital Management, LLC. Immediately before joining the R.J. Finlay & Co. team, Dan Monfried served as a portfolio advisor at UBS with the bank's New York branch. Dan Monfried focused on value investing for clients with an extremely high net worth and concentrated on diversification and portfolio management. In addition to leading the executive team of R.J. Finlay & Co., Dan Monfried encourages his staff to become highly involved in community service through the company's nonprofit affiliates. Dan Monfried continues to answer corporate responsibility expectations through his support of many child and family-focused charitable organizations.
