About Me

The coauthor of A Pocket Guide for the Alzheimer's Care Giver, Dr. Daniel C. Potts has extensive experience in the fields of cognitive brain function, dementia, and Alzheimer's disease. He currently serves as a medical director at Dementia Dynamics and as president of the Cognitive Dynamics Foundation. Through his work with these institutions, Dr. Daniel C. Potts provides a diverse range of educational training and therapy services.

Dr. Potts earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Birmingham-Southern College and his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. Subsequently, he completed his residency in neurology at the UAB School of Medicine.

Now a noted speaker and writer, Dr. Potts continues to publish Neurology for the Boards, a board review publication with a wide readership of students, residents, and neurologists. He also blogs about topics related to Alzheimer's and dementia at MariaShriver.com. In addition to his professional writing, he has published several books of photograph and poetry, including At End of Day, The Broken Jar, Soul Fire, and Verses of Recovery.
