About Dan Bransford
Plymouth, Minnesota, resident Dan Bransford excelled in academics and athletics at Wayzata High School, and he continues to achieve the same accomplishments as a biology major at Augsburg College, where he made the Dean’s list his very first semester. Prior to enrolling at Augsburg, Dan Bransford was admitted to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at MCTC, where he also maintained an outstanding GPA.
A proponent of conservation and ecology, Dan Bransford also maintains a passion for fishing. He participated in the Fish-A-Thon, an event in which he taught fishing skills to children from the inner city.
This past summer, Dan Bransford won a Fellow scholarship that enabled him to complete an internship in biology at the Pacific Rim Institute for Environmental Stewardship, located on Washington’s Whidbey Island. His areas of concentration included environmental health and the Olympic peninsula's sub-alpine tundra. He also found time to cast his line for the area’s famous salmon and lingcod.
