Web entrepreneur Dan Abrams serves as CEO of Abrams Research, a Manhattan-based firm that provides social media, content management, and website design and strategy services. Since Dan Abrams founded the company in 2008, he and his team have helped financial service organizations, P.R. firms, Fortune 1000 corporations, governmental agencies, and humanitarian associations build robust online presences. An experienced Web publisher, Dan Abrams also runs Abrams Media Network, a series of websites covering sports, fashion, technology, news, and style.
Dan Abrams pursued his undergraduate education at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where he studied political science and graduated cum laude in 1988. During his time at Duke, Dan Abrams anchored a newscast for Cable 13, the school’s student-run television channel, and belonged to the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. In 1992, Dan Abrams earned his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School in New York, New York.
In the beginning of his career, Dan Abrams served as a Reporter for Court TV, the cable network now known as truTV. From 1992 until 1997, Dan Abrams covered high-profile trials such as the O.J. Simpson case and Dr. Jack Kevorkian’s assisted suicide trials. He moved on to his next role where Dan Abrams operated as a General Assignment Correspondent for NBC. After the 2000 Bush v. Gore election, many will recall watching Dan Abrams flipping through the Supreme Court's opinion live on air and eventually becoming the first correspondent to accurately interpret the Supreme Court's ruling. In 2001, Dan Abrams began hosting The Abrams Report, which ran through 2006. Dan Abrams experienced major success in his next position as General Manager of MSNBC, increasing ratings by 62 percent and after a year and a half decided to return on-air hosting a new show, Live with Dan Abrams.
Currently, Dan Abrams holds the title of Chief Legal Analyst for NBC News and MSNBC, and also serves as a contributor to Today and Dateline NBC. A regular columnist for Men’s Health magazine, Dan Abrams is currently finishing his first book, titled Man Down: Proof Beyond A Reasonable Doubt That Women Are Better Cops, Drivers, Gamblers, Spies, World Leaders, Beer Tasters, Hedge Fund Managers, and Just About Everything Else.
