For nearly 15 years, the Law Offices of Craig L. Manchik & Associates, P.C., has provided Chicagoans and people throughout the State of Illinois with well-qualified legal advice and counsel in cases of wrongful death and personal injury. Led by founder and Managing Attorney Craig Laurence Manchik, the firm has built a reputation throughout the state as a leader in litigation and negotiation. Manchik personally has 18 years of trial experience, focusing in the areas of nursing home injuries, medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, construction negligence, work injuries, and wrongful death. Craig Laurence Manchik has also been trained and certified as a mediator and presided over many complex litigation matters. In addition to these credentials, he maintains active status in the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. Craig Laurence Manchik has gone to trial on many cases and obtained outstanding results for his clients. For example, he earned a $1.2 million verdict after 5 weeks on trial against the Village of Skokie and two of its police officers, alleging his 16-year-old client's wrongful death resulted from the willful and wanton misconduct of the police in their execution and enforcement of the law. Manchik also won a $2.75 million verdict in a medical malpractice case, which lasted for nearly 4 weeks in federal court, alleging that the physician failed to deliver a baby in a timely manner; as well as a $3.75 million settlement obtained after 1 week on trial, alleging the physician and hospital staff failed to meet the standard of care, which resulted in injuries and damages to a 25-year-old man. As a result of his vast trial experience coupled with his skills as a negotiator, Craig Laurence Manchik often obtains settlements for his clients without the need to go to trial. The majority of his cases have been referred to him by other attorneys and physicians as a result of his years of experience and past results. An alumnus of the Michigan State University College of Law, Craig L. Manchik graduated cum laude with his Juris Doctor in 1994. Prior to this, he attended The University of Kansas and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In recognition of his stellar academic achievements, he was awarded the Sobal Cup. Apart from his legal service, Craig L. Manchik supports various philanthropic causes, including The Ark, the American Cancer Society and the Cancer Federation. When he is not working, he spends time with his three young children. They enjoy outdoor activities, such as riding motocross vehicles and going skiing on the weekends.
