Craig Birse-Archbold - Professional Summary:   

 

Craig is a dynamic senior health and safety management professional who leads and delivers organisational health and safety culture excellence.

 

Having began his career in Accountancy and VAT Management, Craig then spent 6 years as a Firefighter, during which time he developed an interest in Health and Safety and in particular 'dynamic risk assessment'.

 

Whilst in the Fire Service Craig studied Health and Safety and provided consultancy services in Angus before moving to Edinburgh to secure a full time consultancy role with C-MIST in 2002.

 

Craig went on to develop himself personally and professionally after working for a number of Consultancies in Glasgow, London and Edinburgh, gaining qualifications and experience in Health and Safety, Auditing and Management Systems, Planning Supervision/CDM Co-ordination, Fire Risk Assessment, Asbestos Management, Access Auditing, Leadership and Management, Mentoring and Body Language.

 

At present Craig is Head of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment at the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.

 

 

Craig Birse-Archbold - Professional Experience:   

 

Craig has wide ranging experience covering property and facilities, construction, education, finance/investment and public sector companies.

 

He has provided Health and Safety Management and CDM Management expertise on construction projects ranging from £50k to £200million, and also co-ordination and management of an assessment project for a £6 billion property portfolio.

 

In addition Craig has project management experience on a radioactive waste removal contract, asbestos management programmes and client programme management expertise.

 

In Craig's present role he is the 'responsible person' for the Health, Safety and Welfare of 14,000 students and 1500 staff.
