In 2000, entrepreneur Corey Schalik began his career with Health Management Corporation of America (HMCA), a diagnostics management firm specializing in MRIs. While there, Schalik moved from Inside Sales Manager to Sales Executive, and eventually to Director of MRI. His main tasks included negotiating various contracts, and creating reports regarding the sales team’s progress, the company’s growth, and projections of referral rates. While with the company, Corey Schalik increased profit margins by 70% using his own marketing plan. In 2005, Corey Schalik moved on to Dynamic Medical Imaging, where he worked as the Director of Operations and Sales until 2006. During his time there, Schalik oversaw the company’s quality control and financial departments, as well as policies and employee benefit plans. He was also responsible for training employees. The following year, Corey Schalik became the Assistant Director of Admissions for DeVry College of New York in Long Island City. Schalik’s main responsibilities included assisting the Director of Admissions in hiring new staff, managing the department’s budget, and organizing and implementing recruitment efforts.
