Clarke Welch, a financial advisor residing in Hampstead, New Hampshire, knows that superior customer service is the key to success. Currently working for Allstate Financial Services, Welch is charged with rebuilding Allstate’s business in Maine. Since starting at Allstate in August 2010, Welch has raised approximately $5 million in assets while simultaneously supporting 80 percent of the agents in achieving their sales quotas. Prior to joining the Allstate team, Welch served as District Manager for Mutual of Omaha in Bedford, New Hampshire. There, Clarke Welch increased business, and sought out additional sales agents to work on a 100 percent commission basis. A graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, where he majored in economics, Welch began his career as an Annuity Wholesaler for Shields Brokerage in Exeter, New Hampshire. After jump-starting Shields’ annuity business, increasing life insurance sales from $0 to $25 million on an annual basis, Clarke Welch relocated to Fort Myers, Florida, accepting a position as Regional Vice President of Business Development at Fred Alger Management, Inc. Charged with promoting Fred Alger’s $18 billion asset fund, “The Alger Fund,” to major wirehouses throughout the Southeast, Welch established solid business relationships with Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc., Morgan Stanley, Prudential Financial, Inc., and many other investment banks. Clarke Welch spent three years at Fred Alger before joining Kinetics Mutual Fund as Vice President of Business Development. While there, he increased the company’s asset base from $20,000 to $750,000 a month. Clarke Welch then became Director of Tower Square Securities, leading the effort to recruit additional registered representatives and spearheaded a simple mass-marketing campaign to seek out potential broker-dealers. After 7 months in this role, Welch joined Atlas Securities as a financial advisor. He demonstrated considerable success, acquiring $1.5 million in new assets in a single month, and exceeding his quota for one quarter by 275 percent. In December 2005, Welch returned to New England to become the Vice President of Business Development at Trust Company of America. A lover of outdoor sports, Clarke Welch spends his free time skiing, and scuba diving, and snowmobiling. Welch is also the Treasurer of the Derry Pathfinders Snowmobile Club.
