Christopher Grollnek - Professional Summary:    Christopher Grollnek, a veteran United States Marine and law enforcement officer, worked with the McKinney Police Department in Texas from 2003 to 2011. He was a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team and handled numerous training roles. Christopher Grollnek also held the position of Detective for the department's Special Operations, Narcotics unit through 2007. Grollnek was promoted to Corporal after working in the property crimes section and retired from the department in 2011. In January 2012, he will receive a Master of Science in Administration of Justice and Security from the University of Phoenix, Inc.

From 1992 to 2003, Christopher Grollnek served in the United States Marines, where he quickly climbed the ranks to E-6 Staff Sergeant. Grollnek worked in a variety of leadership and instructional roles, deploying to numerous countries and serving as a member of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) assigned as the deployment’s lead armorer. During this tour of duty, Chris served several lead roles including one of the detachment’s NEO contingency force leaders. In 1998, Grollnek assisted in developing curriculum for eight schools of the Aberdeen Proving Grounds under the title Assistant to the Commanding Officer of the Marine Corps Detachment. After being honorably discharged, the veteran continued to serve in the Marine Corps Reserve.

Christopher Grollnek graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1998 with an Associate of Arts in Education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Maryland. Throughout the course of his career, Grollnek has shared his expertise in a number of ways, including workshops and consulting.

He holds membership in the National Rifle Association and The American Legion as well as participating as a five-year board member of the International Association of Undercover Officers. In his leisure time, Christopher Grollnek enjoys photography and reading fiction, biographies, and books about the Marine Corps.

Christopher Grollnek volunteers with the Texas Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition and the Nexus Recovery Center, Inc., and formerly participated in teacher in-service training for the McKinney Independent School District Gang and Awareness program. Grollnek is founder and President of Scott's Helping Hands, a nonprofit for those affected by drug addiction.
