Chris Moore, aka "Toph", was born in 1983 and currently resides in Chicago, Illinois. This young man has been playing live tournaments for quite a while, but made his big break only recently, as he won the 1st place in the Wynn Classic No Limit Hold'em Championship of 2008.
The first live professional poker tournament cash winning for Chris Moore was on December 5th, 2005. It was a No Limit Hold'em tournament – the kind of game Chris Moore likes most – in the Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic, a WPT Season 4 event. In that tournament he took the 14th place, along with $5,505. Some would call it a small amount, but for Chris Moore it was the beginning of something bigger and better.
Only about a year after his first winning, on November 6th, 2006, did Chris Moore got his next cash winning, as he grabbed the 6th place of the No Limit Hold'em tournament in the 2006 Fall Poker Round up. There he won $6,540, and on he continued to participate and play in various poker tournaments.
Chris Moore has a total of 10 cash winnings in live professional poker tournaments, most of them from 2007 and 2008. The winning sums began to rise significantly in mid-2007, as Chris Moore reached the 3rd place of the No Limit Hold'em tournament in the Wynn Classic contest, on March 11th, 2007. The 1st place that year was taken by Zachary Hyman, and the 2nd by Ted Lawson. Still, a 3rd place in such a major tournament was something Chris Moore could take pride in, plus he brought home a respectable sum of $192,060.
But any man should sometimes listen to his heart's desires, and apparently Chris Moore wanted to win the Wynn No Limit Hold'em tournament with all his heart. As kids are often told, anything can come true if you wish hard enough and long enough – and on March 16th, 2008, a year after he reached the 3rd place in the No Limit Hold'em Wynn tournament, Chris Moore won the 1st place in that same tournament, along with the grand prize of $692,286! Indeed, Chris Moore is the living proof that dreams sometimes do come true. Now all that is left to do is to sit and wait, carefully watching the career course of this young man in the world of professional poker. Surely the future has much to offer to Chris Moore, and we'll be hearing from him again in the near future.
