Chris Bell, who lives in Raleigh, North Carolina (NC), is an American professional poker player. He was born in St. Paulus, NC, and earned a degree in business from NC State. He learnt poker from brother during his high school days. Poker was a mere hobby for Chris Bell till he finished his graduation. Following his graduation, he worked as a realtor for a few years, and it was in the year 2002 that he decided to take up poker as a profession.


Chris Bell has many cash winnings to his name, some of which are really worth mentioning. At the 2003 Borgata Poker Open, Chris Bell finished in ninth-place and bagged $18,800 in the No-Limit Hold’em Championship held on September 20. At the 2005 Los Angeles Poker Classic, Chris Bell held sixth rank in the No-Limit Hold’em event to take home $28,433. He took part in the No-Limit Hold’em Championship of 2005 Party Poker Million IV, finished 19th and made another $41,705. In the No-Limit Hold’em at the 2005 New England Poker Classic held on April 6, Chris Bell ended up in 6th place and claimed $16,960 in prize money. The third-place finish at the No-Limit Hold’em World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship in the 2005 Mirage Poker Showdown tournament has earned him a tidy sum of $289,693.


In the No-Limit Championship of 2005 UltimateBet.com's Aruba Poker Classic held on September 26, Chris Bell won prize money of $10,000. On December 12, at the No-Limit Hold’em Championship in the 2005 Five Diamond World Poker Classic IV, Chris Bell finished 48th and took home another $32,200. The No-Limit Hold’em Championship of the 2005 Trump Classic Poker Tournament held on December 16 would be a memorable event for this poker pro, as he made his maiden first-place finish and claimed $240,030 from this event.


His next money finish was on January 19, 2006 in the No-Limit Hold’em Championship at the Gold Strike World Poker Open tournament, in which he increased his bankroll by another $31,464. Another respectable win for Chris Bell was in the WPT Championship Event of 2006 the Borgata Open tournament that was held on September 15. In the event he ranked 5th and went home with a sum of $314,280. The last time he was in the money for the year 2006 was on December 16 when the No-Limit Hold’em Championship of 2006 Trump Classic Poker was held. This event saw him finishing in fifth-place and winning $20,075.


In Event 30 WPT No-Limit Hold’em Championship at the 2007 LA Poker Classic held on February 24, he finished 13th and walked away with another $72,140. A significant money finish for Chris Bell came on May 30, 2008, when the World Championship Pot-Limit Hold'em (Event 1) of 2008 39th Annual World Series of Poker took place, and Chris Bell made $157,168 by finishing sixth. In the Pot-Limit Hold’em (Event 38) of the same tournament held on June 20, he secured second place and took home $155,805 in prize money. As of 2008, his tournament winnings are about $1,550,834.
