About chmieliz16
Most types of air conditioners though effective and good in conditioning the room temperature to normal levels when it is hot may cause annoyance and nuisance by the noise they make when their air fans and other moving systems rotate. Mini split air conditioners are hybrid air conditioners; they have the features of central air conditioners and the portable window conditioners.
They are called split because they are split in to two components; the compressor is usually placed outside the room, which needs air conditioning while the air handler is located inside the room. Being the latest developments in air conditioning solutions, most people are replacing their earlier versions of air conditioning systems with these ones. Most mini split air conditioners are fitted with energy saving devices to ensure that they use very little power to operate and that is why they have become so popular nowadays.
The compressors hare of different sizes and capabilities and some of them can serve more than several air compressors effectively if the room is big or if the rooms which need air conditioning are many. Because the moving parts of mini split air conditioners are located in the compressor which is located outside the room, there is no noise produced whenever you switch on the air handlers in the room when it is hot. They are most recommended for offices, board rooms, class rooms, in meeting halls and in any other place where quietness is needed so that communication can take place effectively.
The mini split air conditioners are usually expensive than most other systems of air conditioning because of the already stated advantages in addition to the fact they require professional installation. You cannot install these conditioners yourself the way most people do with the other air conditioning systems unless you are a trained HVAC professional or contractor. The installation is some how complicated because it requires electrical wiring, coolant lines and drainage systems installation; the unit must also be charged with the suitable coolant amount.
When you want to install mini split air conditioners at your place, you should take note that your walls may need to be drilled so as to create about three inches holes that accommodate the tubing which connects the air handler and the compressor. The size of the hole may even be less or more than this depending on the distance between the air handler and the compressor.
