About Chip Flowers
At the age of 12, Chip Flowers Jr. came to Delaware with his father, who was an Army officer, and his mother, who was a teacher and a counselor with the Department of Defense Dependent Schools. Their trips to Delaware through Dover Air Force Base were very quick, but they made him realize he would eventually return to Delaware to stay.
After his time at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received his bachelor's degree, Chip Flowers became a student at Georgetown University. There he earned a law degree and a Master's in Business Administration. Chip Flowers was employed during that time at the A. Philip Randolph Institute, the Congressional Joint Economic Committee and the White House Office of Political Affairs under President Bill Clinton. He also continued his education and earned a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University, where he received the highest honor in the program, the Don K. Price Award. After graduating from law school, Chip Flowers became a mergers and acquisitions attorney at the Wilmington office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP. In addition, he was chairman of the Multicultural Judges & Lawyers Section of the Delaware State Bar Association.
In 2006, he founded the Flowers Counsel Group, LLC, which primarily works on mergers and acquisitions and procurement law. The Flowers Counsel Group, LLC, has established itself as one of Delaware's premier business law firms, assisting global and Fortune 500 companies with their corporate buying services. The company's clients include Harvard University, DuPont, AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, Bank of America, Barclay's Bank Delaware, ING Bank, FSB and the Buccini/Pollin Group.
In the upcoming election, Chip Flowers is striving to become Delaware's next state treasurer. With his integrity and the knowledge gained from his experience and academic achievements, he has what it takes to be a successful treasurer and serve Delaware's people.
Chip Flowers currently lives in Middletown.
