Cesc Fabregas, a professional footballer, was born on May 4, 1987 in Vilessoc de Mar, Casal de Curacion, Spain, but he now resides in London. He plays in the central midfield position and idolizes Guardiola, a star footballer in Barcelona.
Cesc Fabregas was selected for the Spain Under-17 team due to his remarkable performance for the Barcelona B Team. He represented the team at the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) U-17 Championships in 2003, where he emerged as the best player and top goal scorer. He played for the team, which managed to win the runner-up title, in the 2004 Union of European Football Association (UEFA) U-17 European Championship. Cesc Fabregas began playing for the senior Spain team in 2006, and he was part of the team when it won the European Championship in 2008.
Cesc Fabregas kicked off his football career as a defensive midfielder with FC Barcelona. At the age of sixteen, in September 2003, he switched to the Arsenal Club for a deal worth £2.25 million. Cesc Fabregas made his debut on October 23, 2003 as the club’s youngest player in a League Cup match against Rotherham United. In his second match, he scored his first goal for Arsenal against the Wolves and became Arsenal’s youngest goal scorer. His first breakthrough came during the 2004-05 season, when he was chosen to play in the Gunner's Charity Shield match against Manchester United. Cesc Fabregas scored his first Premiership goal for the club‘s victorious match against Blackburn Rovers. During the 2004-05 Premiership season, he helped Arsenal win the Football Association (FA) Cup. He was also a part of the winning team in the FA Community Shield tournament later that season.
In the 2005-06 season, Cesc Fabregas played exceptionally well and scored a goal against Chelsea in the FA Community Shield tournament. He also played a great role for the club in the Champions League and signed a new eight year deal with Arsenal in October 2006.
Cesc Fabregas scored a brace against Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League 2006-07 qualifier match. At the end of the UEFA season, his excellent performance earned him Arsenal's ‘Player of the Season’ award and also the Golden Boy award, which was presented by the Italian paper TuttoSport. During the 2007-08 season, Cesc Fabregas played in most of the club’s League campaigns and Cup competitions. His outstanding performances earned him the ‘O2 Player of the Month’ award from Arsenal fans for three consecutive months: August, September and October.
Cesc Fabregas has many awards and recognitions to his credit, such as the FIFA U-17 Golden Shoe and Golden Ball award in 2003. His crown of achievements also includes the 2004 UEFA U-17 European Championship Golden Player Award, the 2006 Bravo Award, the 2007 FA Premier League Player of the Month, which he won in both January and September, and the 2007-08 Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Young Player of the Year award.
