Attending the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law, Mr. Shusterman went on to serve the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) as a Trial Attorney just three years after graduating. Serving the INS from 1976 through to 1982, Mr. Shusterman left the organization to form his own practice. The attorneys at the Law Offices of Carl Shusterman are more than equipped to assist clients with their immigration needs, having over 100 years of cumulative experience in the field. Mr. Shusterman is himself authorized to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, Federal District Court, and the Sixth, Seventh, and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. The State Bar of California has also certified him in Immigration and Nationality Law. A member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Carl Shusterman frequently contributes to its efforts. He served on the Board of Governors and chaired its Southern California Chapter. He continues to maintain strong ties to the AILA, speaking frequently at many of the organization’s annual conferences. In addition to his AILA speaking engagements, Mr. Shusterman has spoken to human resources professionals, Kaplan, and the Los Angeles County and Federal Bar Associations. He has also given a presentation on Immigration and Employment Law for the American Payroll Association. Carl Shusterman has been recognized by Super Lawyers magazine and named one of the Best Lawyers in America. Additionally, U.S. News & World Report included his firm as one of the best in the nation. Because of his experience in Immigration Law, Mr. Shusterman has made several television appearances and authored a number of articles for well-known publications.
