About Camilla Denison
Camilla Denison - Professional Summary: Until 2009, Camilla Denison worked for Champion Laboratories, Inc., a leading supplier of filters and filtration products for automotive and other heavy-duty applications. As President and CEO of the $400 million private equity held company, Camilla Denison had full responsibility of its profit and loss and increased profitability by more than 50 percent during her first year. In addition, she decreased inventory by 30 percent, increased on-time delivery from 80 to 99.5 percent, closed the Mexican facility in three months, and opened a new one in China within six months. Before Camilla Denison took the reins at Champion, she served as CEO with Alemite in Charlotte, North Carolina, which makes industrial equipment for lubrication. There she took responsibility for a $50 million private equity held company, and she not only implemented the launch of three new products and brought the concept of lean manufacturing to the company, but also changed the overall atmosphere of the place from a closed environment to an open and sharing climate. Prior to Alemite, Camilla Denison was the President of Automotive Solutions at Textron Fastening Systems, Inc. in Sterling Heights, Michigan, which produces stampings, fine blankings, and automotive nuts and bolts. As President, Camilla Denison was responsible for all of its operations, including its facilities throughout North America and Brazil. Again, she took responsibility for the $700 million company and reduced inventory by $50 million in five months, merged several small companies into one unit, aligned all employees and made sure everyone was in line with company’s strategy, and closed 12 facilities on time and under budget. Other titles Camilla Denison held at different companies before Textron included Business Unit Director, Chief Engineer and Operations Director, General Manager, Senior Operations Analyst, and Product Engineer. Camilla Denison went to GMI Engineering & Management Institute, where she earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and continued on to get her Master’s degree in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management and another Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In her free time, she teaches exercise classes, water and snow skis, plays hockey, dances, and even takes an occasional whirl on the trapeze.
