Atlanta-based Certified Financial Planner Brian Mark Lusink relies on 23 years of experience in his role as Partner and Chief Operating Officer for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney’s Premier Wealth Management Group Prior to assuming this position, Lusink served from 1991 to 1995 at Murdock-Taylor Financial Services, where he gained experience that has served him well in his current endeavors. As an Account Executive, Lusink took charge of the difficult task of developing new business in the financial and estate planning division. He called on his own contacts, harvested referrals, telemarketed, and presented seminars in his quest to promote the division’s products, which included annuities, life and disability insurance, and mutual funds. Brian Mark Lusink excelled in his duties and outperformed management’s sales goals both monthly and quarterly. While still an undergraduate at The University of Georgia from 1988 to 1990, Brian Mark Lusink served as an Investment Associate at Interstate/Johnson Lane Inc., where he fulfilled a variety of roles. Lusink took charge of telemarketing and direct mail campaigns for the sales representatives and invited potential clients to investment seminars led by portfolio managers and analysts. In addition, he conducted research and presented it to the sales division to assist in finding new prospects. In addition, he put together a proposal system that enabled brokers to present to potential clients more professionally. Brian Mark Lusink earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Minor in Psychology in 1990. While at the University, he appeared on the Who’s Who among Students in American Colleges & Universities, and was highly active in greek life as a member of The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Today, Lusink lives in Atlanta with his wife and three sons. He devotes a large portion of time his family as well as personal interests. A highly active individual, Lusink has participated in triathlons and likes to play golf, hunt, fish, and ski. He also enjoys traveling. Brian Mark Lusink holds membership in organizations such as the Atlanta Sporting Clays, the Capital City Club, the Blalock Lakes Sporting Club, and The University of Georgia Alumni Association. Brian Mark Lusink supports several charitable organizations, including the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, which offers college scholarships to children of deceased service members, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, a premier pediatric medical facility. In addition, he coaches baseball and football for children in the Northside Youth Organization (NYO) and acts as the Treasurer of a local Cub Scouts pack.
