About Brad Dean
Brad Dean - Professional Summary: Brad Dean was raised in Hoopeston, Illinois, where he demonstrated his determination and drive from an early age. After earning straight As in his academic classes at Hoopeston High School, Brad Dean attended the University of Illinois, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and graduated with the highest honors. After leaving school, Brad Dean accepted a role with General Electric as a Financial Analyst in Plainville, Connecticut. A member of the company’s Financial Management Program, Brad Dean accumulated vital experience analyzing productivity, financial projections, budgets, and cash flow. An honors graduate of the Financial Management Program, Brad Dean transitioned to work for GE in Puerto Rico, where he met his future wife, Myriam. Brad Dean was one of the company’s most outstanding financial analysts during that time. In 1993, Brad Dean relocated to Miami, Florida, where he became a Financial Analyst at the Hard Rock Cafe at Bayside Marketplace. Fulfilling a number of duties related to the restaurant’s finances, Brad Dean again distinguished himself as a top performer. In 1995, Brad Dean was chosen to become one of the youngest general managers in the company’s history and relocated to Myrtle Beach to open and run the Hard Rock Cafe at Broadway at the Beach. Three years later, Brad Dean joined the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce as CFO; he assumed the dual positions of President and CEO in 2003. For the last six years, Brad Dean’s achievements include securing Myrtle Beach as host of presidential debates in 2008. Over Brad Dean’s tenure, the local Myrtle Beach economy has grown by an average of 7% each year, and he remains committed to serving the business community.

The primary purpose of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is to promote, protect and improve the business community of the Grand Strand.

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce has served its community for 71 years. The chamber's mission is to provide community leadership in the promotion of economic development, including tourism. Accordingly, the Chamber will effectively involve itself in the governmental and political arena and the coordinating of efforts to advance business development in order to improve the quality of life and to encourage unity in the region
