Boris Kesil | Professional Summary:
A mechanical engineer and business professional with more than three decades of experience on two continents, Boris Kesil currently designs and crafts parts and products for a wide range of firms in California’s Silicon Valley on behalf of Advanced Design Engineering Manufacturing (ADEM), LLC, based in Santa Clara. ADEM specializes in a variety of services, from parts manufacturing and assembly to design and engineering. ADEM serves such clients as technological research and development labs, large-scale part fabrication plants, and silicon wafer handling. As President and founder of ADEM, Boris Kesil can conduct precision machining, building accurate parts using advanced computer-aided design (CAD) tools to create high-quality prototype systems.
Boris Kesil oversees the development of ADEM, currently with a qualified cohesive staff of 48 people, including 12 scientists and engineers. He also manages and procures ADEM's equipment, including milling centers from Enshu USA and Haas Automation, Inc., computer numerical control (CNC) mills and lathes from Daewoo and Kitamura Machinery USA, Inc., and a variety of finishing machines and inspection equipment. Along with managing company orders, Boris Kesil commands the creation of new products and production processes at the company and supervises the process design with orders of high complexity.
Under Boris Kesil’s guidance, ADEM works closely with strategic partners Innovative Robotics, Stäubli, and Power Architects to assemble a quality selection of parts and machines for clients in Silicon Valley and across the country. ADEM focuses on products for the laser, medical goods, and fiber-optic industries. Boris Kesil has personally authored and co-authored 18 United States patents and patent applications.
Before establishing ADEM, Boris Kesil worked at several machine shops in Silicon Valley in the 1990s after emigrating from the Ukraine following its independence in 1990. He holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Donbas State Technical University and possesses experience in the Russian and Ukrainian aerospace industry from working in Kiev.
