About Bob Beuret
Entrepreneur and financial professional Bob Beuret enjoyed substantial success on Wall Street during a career that spanned more than three decades. Although retired in 2008, Bob Beuret continues to share his knowledge and understanding of the financial markets as a consultant for several private and public companies guiding his own and his clients? investments.
A 1965 graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, Bob Beuret went on to complete a Master of Business Administration at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. He began his career when first joining E.F. Hutton & Co. working in New York, Boston, and New Orleans. He gained experience with E.F. Hutton & Co. performing sales management roles and later through promotion to a senior management position. His performance and grasp of the financial markets allowed him to transition into a role as Regional Vice President and Limited Partner with Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in 1977. The full-service investment firm located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, provided Mr. Beuret the opportunity to establish company retail offices and introduce investment opportunities to firm partners.
Following his time with Oppenheimer & Co., Bob Beuret joined Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in 1980. His role with the New York investment bank that was founded in 1959 included responsibilities for domestic and foreign offices.
From 1975 until 1983, in addition to retaining positions with major firms, Bob Beuret also invested time and energy in entrepreneurial ventures. He started a financial services firm serving as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer. He successfully created the first insurance-based tax shelter at Compex Inc. The Art Deco Hotels, another of his businesses begun in Miami Beach, Florida, was eventually sold to a publicly traded company. This venture became the immensely popular area known as "South Beach."
Bob Beuret began to focus attention on micro-cap investing in 1983, and in addition to his own brokerage firms, he worked with A.G. Edwards, Inc., and First Albany. In 2003, as Senior Advisor for Anasazi III, he was responsible for raising the $35 million in assets from investors; selecting investments; and leading the planned, eventual liquidation of the portfolio.
