Minnesota resident Beth Hayden has held a number of fundraising positions with The Nature Conservancy since 2001. In her present position as Deputy Director of Philanthropy, she engages with team members in cultivating donor relationships and achieving specific goals. She serves with the MN-ND-SD Chapter based out of Minneapolis, MN. In 2015 she was awarded the One Conservancy award for global service to the organization. Beth Hayden’s nonprofit management experience extends to the late 1990s, when she held a position with the Minnesota Land Trust as office manager. She oversaw a full range of office activities, from hiring to bookkeeping, and assisted in outreach and fundraising campaign efforts. She also oversaw technology functions and played a pivotal role in developing a new database system.
Ms. Hayden maintains a strong community focus. She previously served on the board of Career Solutions, Inc, based in Saint Paul, MN, a nonprofit organization seeking to help displaced homemakers rejoin the workforce. She is also a longtime volunteer for Friends of the Mississippi River in St. Paul and earned the group’s first-ever Volunteer of the Year award in 1999. She currently serves as Vice President of the Gateway-Brown's Creek Trail Association, encouraging people to get out in nature on this Minnesota multi-use trail system. Serving communities from St. Paul to Stillwater, the trail is a Minnesota gem Ms. Hayden has a passion for outdoor activities such as canoeing and camping, and is currently engaged in studying edible landscaping techniques.
