About Ben Ramaley
Practicing gynecologist Dr. Ben Ramaley participates in the professional community of his field by maintaining membership in a variety of professional organizations. These include the American Board of Medical Specialties, the American Medical Association, the Fairfield County Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Connecticut State Medical Society, among others. Certified since 1981 by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Inc., Dr. Ben Ramaley also holds a Physician and Surgeon’s License and also is a registered Controlled Substance Provider through the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health. Dr. Ben Ramaley holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago, from which he graduated in 1973.
Today, Dr. Ben Ramaley employs his skills in the realms of gynecology and obstetrics through his position as a dedicated specialist at Southport Women’s Healthcare, located in its namesake city in Connecticut. Through this position, he directly addresses the needs of roughly 40 clients per day, and specializes in fulfilling the needs of adolescent and menopausal patients. At Southport Women’s Healthcare, Dr. Ben Ramaley is trained in providing such primary services as hysteroscopy, laparoscopic surgery, examinations of bone density, and continence care, as well as other secondary procedures including colonoscopy, nutritional supplement information, and contraception education and planning.
