Throughout her life and career, entrepreneur and executive Barbie Adler has maintained involvement in a vast array of professional, charitable, and personal endeavors. Upon receipt of her B.A. in Public Relations from Bradley University’s Slane College of Communications and Fine Arts, Barbie Adler joined the team at Porter Novelli in Chicago, where she gained firsthand experience in the public relations industry. From 1993 to 1999, Barbie Adler won a number of significant victories at Porter Novelli, earning promotion to Senior Vice President and Partner. At the end of her tenure with Porter Novelli, Barbie Adler became Senior Vice President of Recruiting for the Encore Group, where she generated consistent revenue by matching C-level executives with multinational corporations. In 2000, Barbie Adler founded Selective Search, Inc., a boutique executive matchmaking firm with a dedication to putting clients into lasting relationships. Understanding that no two clients are alike, Barbie Adler developed the Meet Your Future process, an intensive search methodology that matches individuals based upon deep, specific characteristics. Proven effective in a high percentage of cases, Meet Your Future has helped Barbie Adler and the staff at Selective Search, Inc. to make better, stronger matches for their clients. To date, Barbie Adler and Selective Search, Inc. have facilitated more than 1,000 marriages leading to more than 400 children. A highly active member of the business community, Barbie Adler has held membership in the Public Relations Society of America, the Publicity Club of Chicago, and the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, where she served on the board between 2005 and 2009. Nominated as Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young, Barbie Adler shares her knowledge and expertise as a student mentor at Bradley University. Noted for her work in the community as well, Barbie Adler has volunteered her time, energy, and resources to such organizations as Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Starlight Children’s Foundation, Imerman Angels, the American Heart Association, Inc., the Jewish Council for Youth Services (JCYS), and the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago. Along with her husband, Barbie Adler lives and works in the greater Chicagoland area.
