Barbara Wilkanowski JD

 

Barbara Wilkanowski was Supervising Assistant District Attorney in Queens County, New York for two decades. Interested in jurisprudence from a young age, Barbara Wilkanowski attended New York's John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she studied Criminal Justice Administration and Planning. Barbara Wilkanowski received Dean's List honors throughout her time at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, was admitted to Nu Gamma Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society, and graduated magna cum laude. Barbara Wilkanowski moved on to CUNY School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor. A number of internships enriched Barbara Wilkanowski's tenure at CUNY School of Law, including work with the Honorable Harold Baer, Jr. at the New York State Supreme Court, Civil Term, New York County. Barbara Wilkanowski also gained experience in criminal law at the United States Attorney's Office in its Southern District of New York. In 2008, Barbara Wilkanowski transitioned into solo practice. At Barbara Wilkanowski, Attorney at Law, she focuses on criminal defense and traffic, environmental, and construction law. In her spare time, Barbara Wilkanowski stays active by participating in mixed martial arts.
