Aziza Kendrick is currently enrolled in a unique program at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, to complete her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Management Information Systems. She expects to graduate with both degrees in 2012. An enthusiastic student, Aziza Kendrick appeared on the dean’s list from 2008 to 2010 and is a member of the Delta Mu Delta international business honor society. In 2010, Ms. Kendrick was the recipient of the Accounting Society Scholarship.
Aziza Kendrick supports her education by working full time as a legal assistant. Currently, she works for the firm of Shepherd Smith Edwards & Kantas, LLP. As an assistant to one of the partners at the firm, Ms. Kendrick supports clients dealing with legal concerns such as misrepresentation, fraud, and omission. Furthermore, Aziza Kendrick is responsible for preparing legal documents and reviewing legal and financial issues to help prepare the attorneys for court.
Aziza Kendrick is proficient in a variety of computer applications including Adobe Acrobat Professional and QuickBooks, a popular software program used for accounting. While working as a Legal Assistant for Gina G. Palmer, Attorney at Law, from 2003 to 2005, Ms. Kendrick was responsible for preparing tax reports and financial accounts. Additionally, she performed research and summarized depositions for the firm. Aziza Kendrick has volunteered with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and belongs to the American Institute of Certified Professional Accountants. She enjoys traveling, and has made trips to Greece and Italy. Ms. Kendrick also surfs and likes to attend Broadway shows.
