A civil engineer and native of Turkey, Aytac Nural earned a degree from Eskisehir Osmangazi University and completed several projects for Turkish firm Ozkan Insaat before relocating to New York City to pursue a career in food services. In 2007, Aytac Nural and business partner Zafer Sevimcok founded the first location of AYZA Wine & Chocolate Bar in Midtown Manhattan, where they pair a wide range of wines and champagnes with gourmet chocolate selections. The restaurant also features a full menu of appetizers, soups, salads, and entrees.
Based on the success of the first location, the partners opened a West Village location in 2011, and Aytac Nural continues to achieve success managing one of New York’s only true chocolate restaurants. Both locations provide an elegant, comfortable atmosphere, ideal for meeting friends, conducting business, or enjoying a romantic evening.
Mr. Nural’s management role includes developing and implementing of marketing strategies, as well as overseeing menu selections and evaluating customer satisfaction. When he is not busy at AYZA, Mr. Nural enjoys participating in outdoor activities such as long-distance running, scuba diving, and riding his motorcycle.
