About Augustus Shaw
Augustus Shaw IV - Summary: - As Managing Partner and co-founder of the Arizona law firm Shaw & Lines, LLC, Augustus Shaw has dedicated his career to the practice of community association law. In recognition of the firm’s contributions, Shaw & Lines, LLC, received The Leadership Centre’s Brian L. Zemp Outstanding Community Leadership Award for 2009-2010.
Augustus Shaw is currently a member of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) College of Community Association Lawyers, an organization devoted to professionalism and excellence in the arena of community association law. An experienced adviser on drafting organization documents for community associations, Augustus Shaw also handles assessment collection, foreclosure, and general real estate law. Licensed to practice before the United States District Courts of Arizona and Nebraska, the Supreme Courts of both states, and the United States Tax Court, he is a member of the State Bar Associations of Arizona and Nebraska.
Deeply committed to public service, Augustus Shaw currently serves the Arizona Republican Party as its First Vice Chairman. He works as an active member of the Transportation Commission of the City of Tempe. In addition, Augustus Shaw has dedicated substantial time as a Board Member of The Leadership Centre, where he was also named Lecturer of the Year in 2006.
After completing an undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona, Augustus Shaw earned his law degree at the University’s James E. Rogers College of Law. In his spare time, he has written for legal audiences and lay publications including The Arizona Republic and the East Valley Tribune. A longtime outdoor enthusiast, Shaw enjoys hunting, camping, and golf.

Founding Member and Managing Member (April 2005 – Present) Provide legal advice to Home Owner Associations, Property Owner Associations, Office Condominium Associations and non-profit corporations in a variety of general real estate and corporate transactions. Specifically, creation of corporate entity for home owners associations, creation and interpretation of governing documents of homeowner associations, creation and negotiation of complex sales and lease agreements, creation of land conveyance documents, representation of home owner and property owner associations in zoning matters, representation of homeowners associations in collection litigation matter and document enforcement matters.
