About Attorney Kelly Clark
A leading lawyer for victims of childhood sexual abuse, Kelly Clark has been an advocate for children since 1989, when he served as a State Representative for the Oregon Legislature. Over the course of his professional career, Kelly Clark has facilitated many legal changes pertaining to victim's rights. While serving on the Oregon Legislature as State Representative, Kelly Clark co-authored the Oregon Statute of Limitations on Child Abuse. Additionally, Kelly Clark played a key role in the banning of the possession of child pornography in Oregon. Kelly Clark currently works out of the prominent, Portland-based law firm McDonnell Clark & Crew LLP, which he co-founded in 1999. His efforts on behalf of victims who have been abused by persons in positions of power have earned Kelly Clark national recognition. Kelly Clark has successfully brought cases against religious institutions, athletic leagues, schools, and other organizations. Among his most notable cases are wins against the Catholic Church and the Boy Scouts of America. Kelly Clark earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Lewis and Clark College in 1980. Kelly Clark went on to attend Lewis and Clark Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1983. Additionally, Kelly Clark has maintained a deep interest in theology and has completed Graduate Theological Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary and earned a Graduate Diploma in Theology from Trinity College Theological School. Currently, Kelly Clark is a candidate for a Master of Divinity in Theology from Trinity College Theological School. A resident of Portland, Oregon, Kelly Clark enjoys a variety of hobbies, including golf, fly fishing, and amateur photography.
