Arthur Cobb is a professional poker player from Las Vegas, Nevada. He entered the international poker circle in the year 1983 by participarting in the 14th Annual World Series of Poker (WSOP). His first-place finish at the $1,000 buy-in Limit Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo event earned him $52,000 and recognition in the poker world. With this spectacular win, he enterd the next World Series of Poker tournament held in 1984 and finished 7th in the No-Limit Hold'em event. Arthur Cobb continued his sucessful run at the 16th Annual World Series of Poker 1985 by winning the runner-up title and $49,000 in prize money in the $5,000 buy-in Limit Seven Card Stud event.
Two years later, Arthur Cobb achieved another milestone in his poker career by winning the $5,000 buy-in Limit Seven Card Stud event at the 18th Annual World Series of Poker (1987). A whopping prize money worth $142,000 was added to his bankroll, when he finished first at the event. In 1990, he was ranked third in the $1,500 buy-in Limit Razz event at the 21st Annual World Series of Poker and won $27,900.
Another landmark winning of Arthur Cobb was his first-place finish in the $1,500 buy-in Limit Seven Card Stud event at the 22nd Annual World Series of Poker 1991. Arthur Cobb entered the final table in heads-up confrontation with John Sears, a poker pro from the United States and won the event with $148,400 cash prize.
In 1996, Arthur Cobb contested in the Limit Seven Card Stud event held at the 27th Annual World Series of Poker, where he finished 4th with $21,600. He also took part in the Limit Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo event in the same touranament and won $58,500 by finishing in second place. Arthur Cobb saw a big leap in his career in 1998 at the 29th Annual World Series of Poker in which he made an enromous $152,000 and ranked first in the Limit Seven Card Stud event. In 2003, Arthur Cobb won the 3rd place in the Limit S.H.O.E $2,000 buy-in at the 34th Annual World Series of Poker and walked away with $25,180. He also made a handsome $31,240 in the $5,000 buy-in Limit Seven Card Stud at the same tournament by finishing 4th.
Later in 2006, Arthur Cobb finished 7th in the $300 buy-in Omaha Hi/Lo event held at the Orleans Open Tournament. In June 2007, He took part in the Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo $200 buy-in event at the 1st Annual Binions Poker Classic held in June 2007 and finished second to take home $5,674. He played at the Orleans Open 2008 and his sixth-place finish in the Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo event earned him prize money worht $2,025. As of 2008, Arthur Cobb has total tournament winnings of $837,078.
