About Aroura

Rihanna and Lady Gaga might have created this trend today, but wearing feathers in your hair is nothing new. It is custom which has been passed down for many years now. One might go to branded and expensive salons to fix up hair feathers but in Victorian times elite women would create their hair feathers at home by themselves. It is a symbol of their aristocracy and charm and it portrayed their taste and creativity. Besides that members of different tribes wore hair feathers as a totemic symbol and it might symbolize anything ranging from sexual prowess to acts of bravery.

Mostly women wore feathers in their hair. It was to decorate their hair. Mostly elite women wore it as headbands. They added beautiful coloured beads on them and garnished it with handiwork. It was considered to be more classy and beautiful if they were bigger in size. Usually the hair feathers used today are feathers of rooster or emus and the more pricey ones are of peacocks. These feathers which are available in the market today are very expensive and come in every possible design and colour which a buyer can just think of.

Mostly real hair feathers have a much better look of elegance and class. It is a mark of luxury too. Real feathers are easier to maintain as well. You can easily wash them off with a mild shampoo and some lukewarm water. Do not pull at it hard. Use a soft bristled brush or a comb. If you want your feathers to last longer then you will have to handle them with care. They make your hair look unique and different. You can opt from either the shorter ones or the longer ones, as it suits you. You can wear different colours depending on what matches with your clothes. Go add some spice to your hair.
