About Arlene Kock

From her law practice in San Ramon, California, Arlene Kock researches, prepares, and conducts family law cases that facilitate life transitions for her clients. Having owned and operated the Law Offices of Arlene D. Kock for three decades, Arlene Kock has been recognized by numerous legal organizations for her commitment to civil, domestic, and family litigation. Along with running her solo law practice since 1983, Arlene Kock earned admission to the California State Bar in 1978.


After graduating from the University of San Francisco School of Law, Arlene Kock began her legal career as a general practitioner. As an Associate at the Law Offices of Alfred A. Affinito, Arlene Kock handled a wide spectrum of cases including, civil litigation, and criminal jury matters. Arlene Kock then achieved the position of District Managing Attorney for San Francisco Bay Area law firm, The Law Offices of Yanello & Flippen. Thereafter, Arlene Kock founded her own practice and incorporated as The Law Offices of Arlene D. Kock, A Professional Law Corporation in 1987.


The Law Offices of Arlene D. Kock concentrates her legal expertise on family law cases, including divorce, paternity, guardianships, adoption, custody, non-marital unions, and other domestic relations matters. Arlene Kock’s practice also conducts cases dealing with juvenile law, criminal law, probate law, and civil litigation. Arlene Kock provides legal services in post-judgment motions to enforce the terms of the orders. As part of her dedication to this specialized area of the law, Arlene Kock continues to research and stay updated in new and developing areas associated with the practice of family law.


Arlene Kock is a member of the Alameda County Bar Association. Arlene Kock served as Chair of the Lawyer Referral Service Committee of the Alameda County Bar Association and participated as a member of the Alameda County Bar Association’s Board of Directors. Arlene Kock received a Certification of Recognition from the Hayward Hall of Justice for her service as Judge Pro Tem for the San Leandro-Hayward Judicial District, as well as a plaque of appreciation from the Lawyer Referral Service of the Alameda County Bar Association. Arlene Kock’s name and achievements have been listed in Marquis Who’s Who in American Law (2nd Edition) and Who’s Who of American Women (14th Edition).
