Prior to signing up with the Jaipur IPL team, most of Anup Revandkar’s experience came from playing for Mumbai and the India Under-19 teams. Revandkar is a right-handed all-rounder, and although he is a more accomplished batsman, he is also a useful right-arm fast bowler.

In the Indian domestic scene, playing for Mumbai in List A, Anup Revandkar has only appeared in three matches having only made his debut in February 2008 against Baroda. Having only bowled two overs in those three matches, Revandkar still managed to pick up a wicket. With the bat, Anup Revandkar averages 27.33 over three innings at a healthy strike rate of 76.63. The rookie from Mumbai has registered only one half-century, a score of 59 for Mumbai in a List A encounter.

Anup Revandkar’s all-round talents were recognized by the Rajasthan Royals, who recruited him in their squad for the first season of the Indian Premier League, a Twenty20 league constituted by the Board for Cricket Control in India consisting of teams from eight Indian cities and top players from around the world. Revandkar, however, failed to get a start in either of the Jaipur team’s games as the Royals made their journey to the IPL crown.
