Before taking up poker Anthony Licastro was focused on climbing the ladder of success, so that he could support his family. In time Anthony Licastro became the owner of the Rockaway Bedding Centers - a company running home furnishings. Despite being really busy managing a number of stores Anthony Licastro found time to look after his his beautiful wife and their four children as well. And not to forget - to play a little poker in the left over time.
Anthony Licastro decided it was time to take some of the rewards he reaped from his successful business. He knew that the years of home games and weekends spent in casinos in Atlantic City could be put to use.
The player first appeared in a poker tournament in 2004 at the Trump Classic in A.C. and managed to almost double his money when he finished in 17th place. In the next poker event that Anthony Licastro entered he tripled his money – a really great achievement after only two participations in the world of poker. Anthony Licastro also had winnings in the WSOP. In 2005 he entered the World Poker Finals / WPT Event Season 4 and after a quite difficult fight for the first place Anthony Licastro finished second, earningover $1,035,000. He has two first finishes in March, 2005 at the WSOP No Limit Hold’em and during the No Limit Hold’em in October, 2006. One year later Anthony Licastro entered the Ulitmate Poker Challenge and came out the winner along with $13,615. Anthony Licastro`s latest entry was in the 39th World Series of Poker 2008 - Event #1 - Pot Limit Hold'em World Championship, where he took 21st place and $26,470.
