About Anna Mae Perillo
Anna Mae Perillo - Professional Summary:
With her own practice based in Red Bank, New Jersey, Anna Mae Perillo brings more than 25 years of hard work to her current specialty of divorce mediation. She has also devoted a large portion of her career to advocacy of alternative dispute resolution, trying to educate clients and fellow attorneys in better methods of resolving disputes and getting divorced than expensive and often nasty litigation. Anna Mae Perillo believes that children and families are better served by her mediation and collaborative law practice. Her approach emphasizes out-of-court discussion and negotiation, avoiding time-consuming and expensive litigation, which more often than not intensifies clients’ disagreements. Anna Mae Perillo works with a number of organizations and institutions to promote her alternate methods of dispute resolution.
A founding member of the Jersey Shore Collaborative Law Group (JSCLG), Anna Mae Perillo handles many cases that call for collaborative law. In 2008, the JSCLG requested that she create an eight-hour mediation training class. In developing this curriculum, she provides instruction applicable to individuals in numerous career fields, including lawyers, financial experts, and mental health specialists. She also received certification from the Administrative Office of the Courts, allowing attorneys who complete the class to receive continuing legal education credits.
The mediation training class is just one of Anna Mae Perillo’s many avenues of mediation and collaborative law advocacy. At the New Jersey Law Center, she participated in presentations on alternative dispute resolution. She also belongs to a number of societies in this regard, including the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators, as an accredited member; the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals; and Monmouth County Bar Association. She was a Bar Panelist for the Family Division for many years and served on committees such as the Family Law Committee and the Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee. She has recently co-founded the Two Rivers Chapter of the Jersey Shore Collaborative Law Group, a group of attorneys dedicated to educating the public about methods of divorcing that are better for children and the divorcing couple.
Aside from practicing and teaching mediation and collaborative law, Anna Mae Perillo is knowledgeable in many other areas of law. As a personal injury attorney, she has won thousands of dollars for injured clients due to her hard work and zealous advocacy. She also works with clients who have been catastrophically injured, securing housing modifications, accessible vans, and various medical services.
Anna Mae Perillo also lends her skill to will preparation and real estate closings. With a broad array of legal experience and a fresh perspective on divorce mediation, Anna Mae Perillo consistently proves herself an important member of the New Jersey legal community.
