A resident of Bend, Oregon, Anna Karen Wellborn remains active in her community by volunteering with local organizations. She volunteered with the Oregon Humane Society for six years, where she walked the dogs and helped with grounds maintenance. She also lent her time to the Portland Parks and Rec office by removing ivy overgrowing locations in Forest Park and along trails throughout the city. Anna Karen Wellborn also volunteers at various festivals, like the Portland International Beer Festival in 2011. This May she will be a judge at the Oregon Songwriters Association song contest, and she looks forward to volunteering at the many summer festivals scheduled to take place in 2014.
In her working life, Wellborn is a business associate with Hoodoo Antiques and Design, located in Portland, Oregon. The shop has been open since 1994 and specializes in vintage furniture, art and paintings, oriental rugs, lighting, and more. Wellborn helps stock the store by acquiring unusual and valuable pieces from sellers in Oregon and by scouting warehouses and barns.
