Angela Craciun - Professional Summary:     

 

Angela Craciun, an advocate of her community and a leader in the field of minerals and mining, lives in the Loire Valley of France. There, she owns a 19th century castle, the Chateau de la Huardière, which she is developing into an international cultural venue for events. Angela Craciun is the founding President of ACAP Loire, an organization with the mission to protect the cultural and environmental integrity of the Valley. Angela Craciun currently is collaborating with the CineMAiubit Student Film Festival, the Cinema Verité Institute, and the International Student Film Festival to host a film event at the castle.

 

A student of the world, Angela Craciun received her Doctorate in Mineralogy in Romania, and researched mining in Russia and France. Fluent in several languages, she also studied business in Japan. Angela Craciun currently acts as President of Organisation Mondiale de Mineralogie (World Mineralogy Organization), which fosters international geological research. She has received several awards, including the Professor Rzhevsky award from Moscow State Mining University and the Medal of Excellence and prize for Best Presentation at the International Scientific Conference. Angela Craciun also received a Medal of Excellence from the Technical University of Petrosani, her alma mater.

 

Angela Craciun has worked with Ar-Thema International, an advertising agency, and Indigo Magazine, a Romanian lifestyle magazine. To stay active, she rides horses, skis, and dances. A patron of the arts, Angela Craciun enjoys music, paintings, and film. She also appreciates antiques, including furniture and 18th century decor.
