Before he founded JustAnswer, Andy Kurtzig founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of eBenefits. eBenefits was a Web-based human resource management service that linked small businesses to human resources, payroll, and benefits management services through the Internet. Andy Kurtzig founded eBenefits in 1996, and in the subsequent years, the firm developed technology that allowed small business employees to compare and select health benefits, insurance plans, payroll deductions, and mutual funds for their 401(k)s using the Web. Andy Kurtzig further leveraged his business acumen by signing exclusive partnerships with Fortune 500 companies Automatic Data Processing (ADP) and Marsh & McLennan while raising USD $8 million of venture capital financing from New Enterprises Associates (NEA), Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) and W.R. Hambrecht.
Andy Kurtzig is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. As an undergraduate, Kurtzig studied Business Administration, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in three and a half years.
