About Amiad Zionpur
Amiad is the CEO/founder of Geffen Productions LLC., an innovative company specializing in tours to Israel. Founded in 2009 in Grand Rapids, MI Geffen is a secondary occupation for Amiad, allowing him to express and share his passion for Israel, his home country.
Prior to founding Geffen, Amiad served for a year and a half as the Operations Manager at Karni Farm LLC, a main grower, packager and distributer of fresh herbs across the Midwest, located in Grand Rapids, MI. In this position, Amiad managed the overall operations including greenhouses, production, shipping/receiving, office, purchasing and logistics. Reporting directly to the Owner/CEO, Amiad's responsibilities included process optimization, cost reduction, process implementation and development, continuous improvement, hiring and training, purchasing, vendor management, logistics, financial management and new product introduction.
Before Karni Farm LLC, Amiad worked for one year on a temporary project at Google Inc. as a Quality Rater. He was a contributing member of the human evaluation team whose role was to asses websites and other web objects, their usability and accuracy, providing feedback for search engine rankings.
Between 2002 and 2006 Amiad worked as an Assistant Department Manager at Eltel Technologistics Inc., a provider of operational and systems support to the Israeli Defense Forces in Israel. In this role, he managed a team responsible for monitoring, controlling, and reviewing military maneuvers at the Israeli National Training Center. Other responsibilities included leading an After Action Review with the customer, analyzing and preparing documents for future contracts, and establishing and leading a new instruction and training section for the organization which was responsible for continuous improvement and for training of new employees.
Amiad holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from Ben Gurion University, Israel with a sub-specialty in Information Systems.
Amiad was born and raised in Israel. He is also a United States Citizen. In 1993 he joined the Israel Defense Forces and served as an Army Rangers Officer for four years. Later, he joined the reserve army, served in a similar unit for ten years and finally left in 2006 after serving the last two years as a company commander.
