Allison Musacchio - Professional Summary:    

 

Allison Musacchio embarked on her teaching career at Adelphi Academy, a private school in Brooklyn, where she taught students and assessed their skills and needs. After a year at Adelphi Academy, Allison Musacchio moved on to Public School 1 in Brooklyn, New York. There, she spent about three years teaching intellectually talented students and making use of teaching techniques to build students’ self-confidence. Allison Musacchio continued on to James Madison High School in Brooklyn, where she stayed for six years. Monitoring students to spot their learning styles, she followed the state’s education program of study to teach social studies. Allison Musacchio also has completed internships in social work and holds a pending provisional Licensed Master Social Worker certification. She additionally belongs to the National Association of Social Workers, and she has performed community service with New York City’s largest volunteer organization, New York Cares, as well as St. Cabrini Nursing Home. Allison Musacchio earned degrees in education and political science with a minor in Spanish from Syracuse University. With her 3.8 grade point average, she received the Golden Key award for scholarly excellence and graduated magna cum laude. This award is presented to those students who graduate in the top 3% of the country. Attending the Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University in New York City, Allison Musacchio graduated magna cum laude with a Master’s degree in Social Work. She completed additional coursework in creating a balanced reading and writing classroom with the New York State United Teachers Education and Learning Trust, as well as in English as a Second Language for staff development. Recreationally, Allison Musacchio likes to play basketball and volleyball, swim, hike, and run. Besides her love of sports, Ms. Musacchio enjoys traveling, reading, and going to museums.
