Established by a portfolio manager with extensive experience in fundamental investing, Alkeon Capital Management has operated for nearly a decade. Panayotis “Takis” Sparaggis founded Alkeon Capital Management in 2002 after roles with Credit Suisse First Boston and CIBC Oppenheimer. Since launching Alkeon Capital Management, Mr. Sparaggis has led the registered investment adviser with his innovative research-intensive approach to investing.
Prior to his role at Alkeon Capital Management, Mr. Sparaggis began managing investment portfolios in 1993 while employed at Credit Suisse First Boston. As a security analyst, he oversaw domestic investments in long short equity and statistical arbitrage strategies. Prior to that, he completed a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering and an MBA at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His educational and professional background prepared him to lead Alkeon Capital Management and develop an understanding of the global markets. Following his position at Credit Suisse First Boston, Mr. Sparaggis joined CIBC Oppenheimer and eventually moved into the role of Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for the CIBC Oppenheimer Asset Management division. In 2002, he spun off from CIBC Oppenheimer with his own team to create Alkeon Capital Management.
A registered investment adviser, Alkeon Capital Management has grown incrementally since its early days and now manages over 2.5 billion in AUM.
