Aimee’s Story

 

Licensed acupuncturist, herbalist and book author Aimee E. Raupp is a women’s health and fertility expert. Her growing practice focuses on improving health and beauty, preventing disease and increasing fertility among women whose health and wellness are challenged by the demands, stressors and imbalances of Western culture.

 

Aimee understands this challenge firsthand. As a 25-year-old research scientist with a promising neurobiology career, she had struggled with ongoing healthcare issues. When Western medicine was unable to provide relief, she turned Eastward. From her early experience as a patient of acupuncture, she discovered that a mind-body-nutrition approach was key to finally overcoming her illnesses and maintaining good health. Aimee has dedicated her life to the practice of Traditional Oriental Medicine ever since.

 

Aimee’s first book, now in its third reprint, was inspired by her many female patients in their 20s, 30s and 40s. These women, from all walks of life, often with successful and dynamic careers, face all-too-common illnesses that result from high-stakes, fast-paced living. Chill Out & Get Healthy (Penguin) is a call-to-arms for women to reclaim their emotional and physical wellness before lack of wellness becomes serious, intractable disease.

 

Yes, You Can Get Pregnant: The Diet That Will Improve Your Fertility Now & Into Your 40’s (released June 2012) is Aimee’s second book. Building on the themes of her first book, the Yes, You Can Get Pregnant diet draws from Aimee’s success helping hundreds of women who’ve struggled with infertility get pregnant and have healthy children. The book details fundamental nutritional precepts essential to fertility, provides a five-day sample menu and is a pre-release of Aimee’s forthcoming volume on fertility and health.

 

She has appeared on ABC Television's “The View”, Martha Stewart Radio, FOX Television’s “Good Day New York”, in national magazines Glamour, Woman's Day, Self and Better Nutrition, and numerous online publications and local radio stations. She is an active public speaker, blogger and a monthly contributor to Mommybites.com.

 

Aimee is currently in private practice in Manhattan and Nyack, NY.

 

Aimee earned a Master's of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California, and a Bachelor's degree in biology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She holds a license in acupuncture and Chinese herbology in the state of New York and is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
