About Aditya Angle

Aditya Angle is a 24-year-old all-rounder and Twenty20 specialist from India’s southern state of Goa. Angle represents his home state of Goa in India’s domestic cricket scene and plays in the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Twenty20 format for the Rajasthan Royals, winners of the IPL’s inaugural season.

A right-arm off-break bowler and right-handed batsman, Aditya Angle made his domestic first-class debut in the 2002-03 season. He played his first Twenty20 game - cricket’s shortest format - in 2007, only after a spurt in its popularity, following India’s Twenty20 World Cup triumph that year.

Fairly new to domestic first-class cricket, Aditya Angle has only made 20 career appearances in all formats of cricket. Angle’s best batting performance was an unbeaten score of 56 at the first class level for Goa. His tidy bowling has helped him maintain an impressive economy rate of just 2.87 at the first class level. However, he is yet to pick up a wicket in the Twenty20 format.

Aditya Angle’s potential was recognised by the talent scouts for the IPL’s Rajsthan Royals team, who signed him up. Angle had little to do in the Royal’s convincing tournament win, and he only made one appearance for Rajasthan all season, where he scored a quick-fire 16 runs of 6 balls.
