With family ties to the Qajar dynasty of Persia, Adam Maghrouri can count himself as a descendant of Genghis Khan. Since its beginnings with a grandchild of the famed ruler, the royal line has grown and separated into a number of branches. Under the Pahlavi regime in Iran, many branches of the family took on their own surnames, and the Maghrouri line began during this time. Adam Maghrouri proudly includes himself as a son of this royal house.
Like many in his family, Adam Maghrouri has built an international life and career. He attended secondary school at Herringswell Manor School in Bury St. Edmunds in the United Kingdom, graduating in 1981. Since that time, he has established a career in international telecommunications management. He has worked in business development as well as in sales, holding executive-level positions since 2001. Mr. Maghrouri has served as Vice President of Business Development for Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Authority (ECTEL) and as Head of Telecom for information technology firm Mantas.
In fall 2006, Adam Maghrouri joined telecommunications and enterprise outsourcing service Omniglobe International as Vice President of Sales for the Americas. In this role, he leveraged an extensive network of professional connections to create a strong sales force and developed a sales plan based on company goals and objectives. He continued in this position until 2008, when he accepted his current position as Vice President of the Americas for New York-based software development company Connectiva Systems. Overseeing all daily sales operations in North America, Adam Maghrouri markets the company's revenue and risk management products to service providers throughout the continent. He has been quoted in various online magazines, including Forbes.com and Merrill Lynch.
