Abdoulaye Diagne Faye is a professional football player who was born on February 26, 1978 in Dakar, Senegal. Even though he is a specialist defender, he can also play the role of defensive midfielder position.

He started his professional football career by playing for a Senegalese club, ASEC Ndiambour, after which he played for the football club, Jeanne d'Arc. He was loaned to Istres football club on July 1, 2004, for whom he played 25 games. His contract period with RC Lens ended on July 29, 2005, and he had appeared in 30 league matches for the club.
Abdoulaye Diagne Faye was next signed by Bolton Wanderers for a transfer fee of £750,000 and this contract kept him with the club till August 31, 2007. He made his debut for Bolton Wanderers in a match against Newcastle United and helped his team win the match 2-0. When he completed his stint at Bolton Wanderers, Abdoulaye Diagne Faye had started in 65 games and scored 3 goals from the 53 league matches. Two of his goals for the club came against Arsenal Football Club, and he scored his third goal against Portsmouth Football Club on December 30, 2006.
